Ed graduated with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Tri-State College in 1971. He succeeded his Uncle as President and is a third generation Boerman in the business. He started in the business when he was 16. He was a helper all through high school, was a driver during college, and was the dispatcher and operations manager after graduation. His responsibilities include CEO, sales manager, advertising, and visionary. Ed provides assistance with larger office and industrial moves, and complicated distribution projects. He has served as Chairman of the Bekins Advisory Council, Board of Directors for Bekins Van Lines, Board of Directors of Illinois Movers Association, and President of Illinois Movers Tariff Bureau. Ed is married to Jan and has a daughter Michelle, son Dan and son Michael.
Dan graduated from Lewis University in 2000. Upon graduation he went to work for Bekins in the household operations department as a traffic coordinator. He worked there for eight months. In September 2000, Dan began working full time at Boerman Moving & Storage. His responsibilities include warehouse management, coordinating special projects, administration of claims, and serving as operational sales support for distribution salespeople. He also is a part time firefighter / EMT.
Mike joined the company full time in 2004 after graduating from Eastern Illinois University. He first started as a long distance driver in the Bekins system and won driver of the month in April 2005. Then he transferred to outside sales in November of 2005. Since becoming an outside salesperson Mike has consistently maintained a high closing ratio and has received several sales awards from Bekins. His awards have been Presidents Club 2007 and 2008, Bekins Top Ten Sales 2009, Bekins Hit The Target March 2010/April 2010 and Bekins Top Sales Performer for 2012.
Rachel has been working at Boerman Moving and Storage since 1996.Throughout the seventeen years Rachel has held various positions from billing clerk to office manager . In February of 2009 Rachel was promoted to the Vice President of Administration currently handling the finance and reporting processes for Boerman Moving & Storage. Additionally, Rachel supervises all Human Resources aspects of the business including payroll, health care, and 401k administration.
Joe started with Boerman Moving & Storage in 2009. Prior to joining our team Joe owned and operated Hagemaster Moving & Storage for over 30 years. Joe sells local and long distance household goods & commercial moves in Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. Joe is an active member of MainStreet Organization of Realtors and is a long loved veteran in the moving industry.
David started at Boerman Moving & Storage in 2003. David has 35 years of outside sales, sales management and administration experience. Providing sales representation for our distribution and delivery clients has been David’s specialty during his 10 years of service with Boerman Moving & Storage. While working with various distribution and delivery clients, kitchen cabinets and window dealers has become David’s niche. David attended the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana and has been together with his wife Linda for 30 years.
Vince joined Boerman Moving & Storage in 2007. Prior to working at Boerman Moving & Storage, Vince worked for Bekins Van Lines corporate office as well as another Chicago based Bekins agent. Vince’s responsibilities include long distance dispatch, daily local dispatch, and recruiting. Vince has a very good relationship with the operations department at Bekins as well as many of the hauling agents and has been integral in our success. Vince is married and has two daughters.
Trevor joined Boerman Moving and Storage in 2014. Prior to starting at Boerman he worked as a Fitness Sales Representative for Hometown Fitness where he was responsible for contract membership agreements and customer service. Trevor’s extensive on the job training working alongside Boerman’s expert household movers has prepared him with excellent service knowledge and precise in-home estimating skills. In Trevor’s free time he enjoys playing softball and watching the Bears and White Sox.
Jim O’Dell started in with Boerman Moving & Storage in 1978 as a movers helper. As Jim’s expertise in the industry grew Jim began to take on new responsibilities. Jim has been the Director of Packing/Crating and Special Services for 30 years. When you hire Boerman Moving and Storage to handle your packing, crate a vase or any other specialty pre-move need…chances are you will be meeting Jim O’Dell. With 35 years of experience it is safe to say that Jim O’Dell is the best in business when it comes to protecting valuables during your relocation. Jim otherwise known as Uncle Jim has been well respected and trusted in the industry and in our family for years.
Selena is responsible for all local and long distance coordinating as well as assisting outside estimators Mike Boerman and Joe Hagemaster. When calling Boerman Moving and Storage to schedule you move or confirm dates you will be working with Selena. Her recent relocation to Chicago from Texas make her a perfect contact for those in the midst of a relocation. Selena enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Sheila has been with Boerman Moving & Storage for ten years. Shelia was first hired as the main service representative in the Bekins HomeDirect sector and was promoted to handle all of Boerman’s local distribution customers. Shelia has a great relationship with delivery customers and will help make your delivery easy and stress free.
Pam joined the company in November 2009 and brings with her over 25 years of experience in the Bekins system. She has been assisting customers and selling Bekins Long Distance moves throughout the United States. Pam follows through & monitors all of her shipments from start to finish with great results.
Renee currently works on the Bekins Direct aspect of Boerman Moving & Storage. Renee comes from a strong Customer Service/Sales Background and has a degree in Communications/Marketing. Renee has been in the moving industry for 10 years and likes working with people by helping them through one of lifes most difficult transitions “Moving”. Renee enjoys being creative with music, writing, painting and anything having to do with the arts. Renee has two daughters Alexandria & Cheyanne and also holds the title of “Nana” with grand babies, Amara & KI.
Jina is the newest addition to the Boerman Moving & Storage organization. Jina joined our staff in 2012 and handles marketing and special events. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University in 2002, Jina worked in the Chicagoland area as a legal recruiter and account executive for a national staffing firm. Jina brings 11 years of marketing, event planning, networking and sales experience to Boerman Moving and Storage. Jina serves on the Board of Directors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is a member of Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.
Paula’s responsibilities include customer billing, collections and assisting the VP of Administration. With 15 years of accounting, collections and customer service experience Paula has been an asset to the Boerman Moving and Storage family. Outside of work Paula spends her time camping, fishing, reading and enjoying time with her two sons and daughter.
Shannon has been with Boerman Moving and Storage for two years. Shannon is responsible for handling inbound Bekins Direct clients and marketing the Bekins Direct program. Shannon has been in the customer service industry for over 14 years. Shannon recently married Joe and settled into their new home.
Mark Paloucek started at Boerman Moving and Storage in 1988. Mark has been with Boerman Moving and storage for 25 years and held various positions including Dispatch Coordinator, Operations Manager to his most recent position handling distribution deliveries. Mark’s extensive knowledge of the business and the various positions he has held with the organization have made him a huge success on our distribution and delivery side.
Gilbert became the official dispatch coordinator/crew chief for Boerman Moving & Storage in 2008. Gilbert and his crew are the reason for our exceptionally high customer satisfaction ratings and Bekins Agent of month award for November 2012. Prior to joining Boerman Moving & Storage Gilbert worked for another successful agent in the Chicagoland area for a number of years. Gilbert is bilingual and dedicated to ensuring a successful relocation for all of our customers.
